Sprouts Farmers Market, LLC is seeking an Assistant Deli Manager to lead a busy deli team and drive product quality and customer service. You will assist in staffing, scheduling, training, and coordinating daily deli operations while upholding food safety regulations and company standards.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a preferred 2 years supervisory experience and strong knowledge of deli or related food service.
• Be dependable and reliable, having the ability to work a flexible schedule that changes as the business changes; including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Have strong good communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to take and give direction, participating in a team environment.
• Have an outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers, taking special orders and answering phones.
• Possess leadership ability to build, motivate and maintain staff while knowing reports and sales targets.
• Have a strong focus on detail, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Maintain Food Safety certification and ensure compliance with regulations and sanitation standards.
• Have strong organization and planning skills; able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
• Be able to lift up to 70 lbs. and stand long hours; operate deli equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Deli Manager in merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Deli team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning and teamwork.
• Help lead a team to deliver high quality product and service to customers.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Deli team.
• Unload deliveries and maintain deli equipment and cleanliness.
