Job summary

SpartanNash in Omaha, NE is seeking a part-time Deli Associate to prepare, package, label, and merchandise deli products, and to stock the backroom according to plan. You’ll work closely with store teams to deliver guest-ready displays and ensure product freshness.

This role requires basic math, reading and writing, and strong attention to detail. You’ll follow safety, PPE, and cleaning guidelines, communicate tasks and recipes to colleagues, and support additional departments as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (GED) preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and Produce Deli Products to Production Planner
• Package and Label Deli Products per program plan
• Merchandise Deli Products per Flight plan/Merchandising Expectations
• Stock Backroom with Deli Products – Rotating and Dating Cases/Buckets
• Work as a team with other departments and Stores to achieve growth in our SpartanNash Retail stores
• Notify the Deli Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Understand basic functions of adding, subtracting, multiplying and division
• Communicate tasks, recipes, weights and measures, and cleaning steps completed to other associates
• Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines
• Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed
