Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a Deli Associate in Nappanee, IN to prepare, package, display, and stock deli products while upholding safety and guest-experience guidelines. The role works with team members to support store growth.

Responsibilities include producing deli items, labeling, merchandising, restocking backrooms, and communicating recipes, weights, and cleaning steps to colleagues. A GED and basic math are preferred, with reading/writing as required by the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (GED) preferred
• One year of retail or related experience preferred
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents
• Basic mathematical skills
• Detail Oriented

Responsibilities

• Prepare and Produce Deli Products to Production Planner
• Package and Label Deli Products per program plan
• Merchandise Deli Products per Flight plan/Merchandising Expectations
• Stock Backroom with Deli Products – Rotating and Dating Cases/Buckets
• Work as a team with other departments and Stores to achieve growth in our SpartanNash Retail stores
• Notify the Deli Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Understand basic functions of adding, subtracting, multiplying and division
• Communicate tasks, recipes, weights and measures, and cleaning steps completed to other associates
• Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines
• Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed
