Job summary

SpartanNash in Omaha is seeking a deli associate to prepare and produce deli products, package and label them, and merchandise per flight/plan. You will stock the backroom and work with other departments to meet store goals.

Required is a high school diploma or GED (preferred), 1 year retail experience, basic math, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. This on-site position supports guest experience and food-safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (GED) preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and Produce Deli Products to Production Planner.
• Package and Label Deli Products per program plan.
• Merchandise Deli Products per Flight plan/Merchandising Expectations.
• Stock Backroom with Deli Products – Rotating and Dating Cases/Buckets.
• Work as a team with other departments and Stores to achieve growth.
• Notify the Deli Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Communicate tasks, recipes, weights and measures, and cleaning steps completed.
• Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines.
• Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations.
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
