Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market seeks a Deli Clerk to join our fast-paced kitchen team. You will help customers choose healthy foods, prepare fresh deli meals, and ensure products are properly packaged and presented.

This role requires teamwork, reliability, and a positive attitude to create a welcoming shopping experience. Responsibilities include rotating stock, fulfilling special orders, operating slicers and ovens, maintaining sanitation, and handling customer requests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with grocery/restaurant exposure preferred.
• Be dependable and reliable.
• Outgoing, friendly behavior with the ability to interact with customers.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays.
• Good communication and ability to take direction in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Lift up to 70 lbs. and stand for long periods.
• Maintain clean, safe deli area and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in making healthy food choices and prepare fresh meals.
• Provide high level of customer service and ensure proper prep and presentation of deli items.
• Fill, rotate, and display products.
• Prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate deli equipment safely and according to procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of deli area and equipment.
• Receive, inspect, and log product shipments for quality and temperature.
