Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Deli Clerk to join our team in a fast-paced deli department. You will assist customers seeking healthy meal options, prepare fresh and easy meals, and ensure deli items are properly prepared, packaged and displayed with top cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities include maintaining displays, preparing special orders, operating slicers and ovens, and handling daily chores while upholding safety and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent experience.
• Be dependable and reliable.
• Outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders.
• Lift/carry up to 70 lbs. and stand for long periods.
• Able to work in different temperature environments (cooler/freezer).
• Perform housekeeping and operate deli equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting healthy foods and preparing fresh meals.
• Ensure deli items are properly prepared, packaged and presented with cleanliness.
• Fill, rotate and maintain products and displays.
• Prepare special orders and party trays.
