Sprouts Farmers Market is hiring a Deli Clerk to help customers choose healthy foods and prepare fresh meals. You will rotate products, prepare special orders, and maintain a clean, safe deli area with proper equipment handling.

The role emphasizes friendly customer service, teamwork, and ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends. Training includes food safety and daily responsibilities in a fast-paced market environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in grocery, restaurant, or related field.
• Be dependable and reliable.
• Have an outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
• Be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Have good communication skills and the ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Be able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Able to lift/carry up to 70 lbs. and stand up to 8 hours per shift.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the deli area.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in making healthy food choices by preparing fresh and easy meals.
• Provide high level of customer service and ensure deli items are prepared, packaged, displayed, and clean.
• Fill, maintain, and rotate products and displays.
• Prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate deli equipment safely (slicer, ovens, microwaves, scales).
• Keep deli area clean, safe, and sanitary; sweep and sanitize equipment.
• Receive, inspect, and log product shipments for accuracy and quality.
