Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Deli Clerk to assist customers, prepare fresh meals, and maintain a clean, organized deli area in a fast-paced environment. You will handle product preparation, packaging, and special orders while delivering excellent service and working with team members across shifts.

Responsibilities include operating deli equipment, maintaining displays, and ensuring safety and sanitation standards are met.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent or related experience.
• Be dependable and reliable.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with a positive attitude and strong customer interaction.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 70 lbs. and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in choosing healthy options and preparing fresh meals.
• Ensure deli items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented, with cleanliness maintained.
• Fill, rotate, and display products and displays.
• Prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate deli equipment safely (slicers, ovens, microwaves, scales).
• Maintain a clean, safe deli area and equipment; log product shipments for quality.
