Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Deli Clerk to help customers with healthy food choices and prepare fresh, easy meals. You will maintain deli displays, support special orders, and keep the deli area clean and safe while adhering to company procedures.

The role requires dependable teamwork, excellent communication, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Daily tasks include operating deli equipment and providing friendly customer service.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent or an acceptable education/experience mix.
• Dependable and reliable with a positive attitude.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor and able to interact with customers.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication skills; able to take direction and work in a team.
• Able to lift/carry up to 70 lbs. and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in choosing healthy options and prepare fresh meals.
• Ensure deli items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented with cleanliness.
• Fill, maintain, and rotate deli products and displays.
• Prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate slicers, ovens, microwaves, scales and other deli equipment following standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary deli area and equipment.
