Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking a Deli Clerk to assist customers, prepare fresh meals, and maintain a clean, organized deli area. You will handle slicing, packaging, and displaying deli products while delivering friendly, knowledgeable service.

The role requires physical stamina, reliable attendance, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Daily tasks include handling orders, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting team members in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent and experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable and reliable.
• Outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Ability to operate phones and take special orders.
• Lift/carry up to 70 lbs. for distances up to 20 feet without mechanical assistance for up to 4 hours.
• Stand for up to 4 hours per shift; total 8 hours.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work areas.
• Operate deli equipment; maintain safety of equipment.
• Adhere to safety, health, and regulatory standards; obtain Food Handlers permit.
• Work in cooler and freezer environments.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in making healthy food choices by preparing fresh and easy meals.
• Provide high level customer service and ensure Deli items are prepared, packaged, and presented, maintaining cleanliness.
• Fill, maintain, and rotate products and displays.
• Prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate deli equipment following company standards.
• Keep deli area clean, safe, and sanitary.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy and quality.
