Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company is seeking a Deli Manager for Kilgore, TX. The role oversees deli operations, staffing, inventory, and customer service to drive department sales and profitability.

You will lead a team, ensure food safety, and coordinate with management on promotions and catering orders. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, two years of related experience, or a combination thereof, plus Food Handler and Manager Food Safety certifications.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED and two or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education required.
• Food Handler certification required.
• Manager Food Safety certification required.

Responsibilities

• Interviews, hires, trains, and develops partners; plans, assigns, and directs work.
• Reviews historical data to predict sales from ads and promotions.
• Manages inventory and in-stock levels; reviews P&L, sales, shrink, and labor data.
• Ensures quality control and food safety standards; checks dated products and rotation.
• Assists with slicing, weighing, packaging, and labeling deli products; supports catering orders.
• Maintains clean, safe, and sanitary working environment following safety procedures.
