Job summary

Tops Markets is seeking a Deli Manager to oversee daily deli operations at the New York store. You will manage inventory, schedule staff, and ensure quality, safety, and sanitation standards are met while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and experience with labor management. Competitive starting pay and benefits are available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions.
• Possess basic computer skills.
• Possess strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and courteous customer service by fulfilling customer requests for deli products.
• Follow all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies regarding Deli operations, safety, and sanitation.
• Fulfill weekly product orders while adhering to store policy in order to maintain adequate supply levels.
• Maintain and enforce a “clean as you go” policy to ensure sanitary conditions at all times.
• Achieve financial goals such as sales gross profit maximization, as well as minimization of shrink and supply expense.
• Adhere to company policy through proper processing, preparation, and packaging of product.
• Follow all store Shrink guidelines with regard to keeping track of all discards.
• Complete all necessary paperwork relating to Deli Department (i.e.: KLT, SIR380).
• Selection, training, development and scheduling of Deli associates.
• Ensure proper temperatures are maintained in cooler, and cases and are in working condition.
• Reports to the Assistant Store Manager/Store Manager (where applicable).
