Job summary

The Fresh Market Inc. is seeking a Deli Specialist to ensure deli department excellence, maintain freshness, merchandising accuracy, and food safety compliance. You will support inventory, rotation, and presentations while assisting guest engagement and seasonal promotions.

The role emphasizes teamwork, hospitality, and delivering an exceptional guest experience on a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of progressive management experience in supermarkets, retail, restaurants, hotels, or general business.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
• Proven ability to deliver an exceptional guest experience while achieving performance goals.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic proficiency with POS systems, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Ensure deli products meet freshness and quality standards, including proper rotation and dating.
• Execute planograms and maintain accurate product placement and signage.
• Coordinate with department leadership on ordering and replenishment of deli items.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and freshness, ensuring proper receiving and storage procedures.
• Play a key role in compliance during key item transitions and promotional events.
• Follow all TFM policies, food safety requirements, and sanitation procedures.
• Engage guests with a friendly, helpful approach when on the sales floor.
