The Fresh Market is seeking a Deli Specialist to ensure deli department excellence, focusing on product freshness, merchandising accuracy, and food safety compliance. You will support inventory accuracy, rotation standards, and presentation, while engaging guests and preparing department readiness for promotions and seasonal events.

The role emphasizes hospitality, teamwork, and delivering an outstanding guest experience with operational integrity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ years of progressive management experience in supermarkets, retail, restaurants, hotels, or general business.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
• Proven ability to deliver an exceptional guest experience while achieving performance goals.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Basic proficiency with POS systems, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all deli products meet freshness and quality standards, including proper rotation and dating.
• Execute planograms and maintain accurate product placement and signage.
• Coordinate with department leadership on ordering and replenishment of deli items.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and freshness, ensuring proper receiving and storage procedures.
• Play a key role in compliance during key item transitions and promotional events.
• Follow all company policies, food safety requirements, and sanitation procedures.
• Engage guests with a friendly, helpful approach on the sales floor.
