Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Deli Specialist to deliver deli department excellence, ensure product freshness, and maintain merchandising accuracy. You will support inventory, rotation, and presentation while engaging guests with a friendly, helpful approach on the sales floor.

This role requires a passion for food, strong teamwork, and compliance with food safety standards. Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of progressive management experience in supermarkets, retail, restaurants, hotels, or general business.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
• Proven ability to deliver an exceptional guest experience while meeting performance goals.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure deli products are fresh with proper rotation and dating.
• Execute planograms and maintain accurate product placement and signage.
• Coordinate with leadership on ordering and replenishment of deli items.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and freshness and manage receiving procedures.
• Support guest engagement and department readiness for promotions and events.
