Job summary

Global Partners LP is hiring a Food Service Associate/Deli Clerk to manage daily deli and food service tasks. You will handle cash, use scales and UPC codes, and assist guests with orders in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include preparing deli items, safe knife and equipment use, and maintaining a clean, organized counter area. Flexible availability and experience in foodservice are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
• Flexibility to work weekend, holiday and/or evening shifts and assist other locations as needed.
• Must have 2 years foodservice or retail management.
• Must have reliable transportation and an active driver’s license.
• Serv-safe certification preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Work in walk-in coolers and freezers.
• Stand for long periods of time and handle varied equipment.
• Dexterity to use knives, slicers, burners, ovens, fryers and rotisseries.

Responsibilities

• Process cash register transactions and give back change/refunds.
• Learn to use register, scales, scanners and debit/credit terminals.
• Read UPC codes and product labels and follow policies.
• Prepare, wrap, weigh, slice, and stock deli/food service items.
• Cook deli foods and prepare on-premise salads, sandwiches, and beverages.
• Safely operate slicers and heat equipment.
• Take guest orders and ensure timely completion.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Store Manager.
