Job summary

The GIANT Company is seeking team members for deli, carryout, café, and cheese area operations across Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and New Jersey. You will enter orders, schedule, supervise teammates, stock products, and ensure proper dating, pricing, and packaging.

Responsibilities include following SOPs, maintaining clean workspaces, assisting customers, and supporting weekly circular planning.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations in order to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner.
• Must complete a food safety certification every 5 years, and teach new team members importance.
• Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must meet the company performance standards for the job including but not limited to regular attendance.
• Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.

Responsibilities

• Review work schedule, prepare for duties, and comply with PPE requirements at shift start.
• Perform markdowns and track loss.
• Operate deli, carryout, café, and cheese equipment per SOP and train others.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces, tools, equipment, display cases, floors, and counters.
• Prepare and display sandwiches, pizzas, and grab-and-go items for customers.
• Assist customers and weigh/label deli items; manage chicken and other protein preparation.
• Maintain cold storage, packaging of products, and proper labeling.
• Track losses via KLT and complete sanitation/production records.
• Organize sales floor cooler and freezer; assist in planning weekly circular ads.
