Job summary

The GIANT Company is seeking team members for our deli and prepared foods areas across Pennsylvania. You will enter orders, schedule work, supervise and train teammates, receive and stock items, check dates, and ensure quality while adhering to SOPs.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations to complete duties
• Must complete a food safety certification every 5 years, and teach new team members importance.
• Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements, with or without accommodation.
• Must meet company performance standards including regular attendance.
• Must be able to operate and learn to use equipment and tools used in this job.

Responsibilities

• Review the work schedule at shift start and prepare for duties, ensuring PPE as required.
• Perform markdowns and track loss.
• Carry out all deli, carryout, café, and cheese tasks and operate related equipment.
• Clean and sanitize all surfaces, tools, equipment, displays, floors, and counters.
• Prepare sandwiches, subs, wraps, and place them in display cases per SOP; prepare and serve pizza.
• Assist customers with meat/cheese portions, weigh and label items, and prepare grab-and-go items.
• Maintain and stock all department products and organize cooler/freezer sections.
• Plan and assist with weekly circular ads and other department tasks.
