Qualifications

• Understand the importance of handling allergen containing products.
• Ability to prioritize and handle several tasks at once.
• Follow Department of Health regulations and obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate within 10 days of employment.
• Friendly, outgoing personality with strong communication skills.
• Previous customer service experience and ability to work under stress.

Responsibilities

• Proactively assist customers within the Customer Service Standards.
• Work at any service counter station (hot/cold/sandwich/bakery/juice bar) and any shift.
• Set up the cold case at opening and refresh by 5:00 pm, maintaining setup.
• Present and package merchandise per customer requests to maximize sales and minimize shrink.
• Maintain clean, sanitary work areas and follow health regulations.
• Operate deli equipment safely and record samples, demos, and waste as required.
• Coordinate with Kitchen staff and other Deli members to achieve department goals.
• Know store layout to guide customers and attend department meetings.
