Responsibilities

As a Deli Clerk, you will help customers make healthy food choices by preparing "fresh and easy meals" and providing excellent customer service. Your duties include arranging vegetables or sliced meats for made-to-order sandwiches, assisting with catering orders, and maintaining food safety standards. Opportunities for growth include learning more about products, equipment, and customer service skills. This role is ideal for those who thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

To qualify as a Deli Clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and have experience in grocery, restaurant, or related fields, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable, reliable, and friendly with a positive attitude.
• Possess good communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
• Be flexible to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Be capable of lifting up to 70 lbs. and standing for extended periods.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the department.
• Operate slicers and other equipment safely.
• Adhere to safety, health, and regulatory standards, including obtaining a Food Handlers permit.
• Work in different temperature environments, such as coolers and freezers.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Pay Range

The pay range for this position is $16.95 - $22.90 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
