Overview

If you’d be excited to work in a professional kitchen preparing and cooking meals, consider applying for the position of Deli Clerk. As one of the fastest growing natural foods retailers, we’re seeking team members who are excited to share their passion for food.

Responsibilities

As a Deli Clerk, you will help customers make healthy food choices by preparing "fresh and easy meals" and providing high-quality customer service. Your duties include arranging vegetables or sliced meats for made-to-order sandwiches, assisting with catering orders, and maintaining food safety standards. Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent experience in grocery, restaurant, or related fields.
• Dependable and reliable.
• Outgoing, friendly, with a positive attitude and good communication skills.
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to answer phones, take special orders, and lift/carry up to 70 lbs. without mechanical aid.
• Stand for up to 4 hours continuously, up to 8 hours per shift.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area.
• Operate slicers, wrapping, and cooking equipment safely.
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations; obtain a Food Handlers permit.
• Work in different temperature environments (cooler and freezer).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Range

$16.70 - $22.55 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
