Overview

Responsibilities

As a Deli Clerk, you will help customers make healthy food choices by preparing "fresh and easy meals" and providing excellent customer service. Your duties include arranging vegetables or sliced meats for made-to-order sandwiches, assisting with catering orders, and sharing your knowledge of our meats, cheeses, and other deli items. Maintaining food safety standards and cleanliness is essential. There are ample opportunities for growth in product knowledge, equipment handling, and customer service skills. Qualifications

To qualify as a Deli Clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, or an acceptable combination of education and experience in grocery, restaurant, or related fields.
• Be dependable, reliable, and friendly with a positive attitude.
• Possess good communication skills, able to take direction, and work well in a team.
• Be flexible with scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Be capable of lifting up to 70 lbs. and standing for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Perform general housekeeping and operate equipment safely.
• Adhere to safety, health, and regulatory standards, including obtaining a Food Handlers permit.
• Work in different temperature environments, such as coolers and freezers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Pay Range

The hourly pay range is $16.70 - $22.55, based on experience and qualifications.
