Responsibilities

As a Deli Clerk, you will help customers make healthy food choices by preparing "fresh and easy meals" and providing excellent customer service in our Deli department. Your duties include arranging vegetables or sliced meats for made-to-order sandwiches, assisting with catering orders, and sharing your knowledge of meats, cheeses, and other deli items. You will need to maintain food safety standards and ensure high-quality service. Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and have experience in grocery, restaurant, or related fields, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Dependable and reliable
• Outgoing, friendly, with a positive attitude and good communication skills
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders
• Capable of lifting/carrying up to 70 lbs. and standing for up to 8 hours per shift
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area
• Operate slicers, wrapping, and cooking equipment safely
• Adhere to safety, health, and regulatory standards; obtain and maintain a Food Handlers permit
• Able to work in coolers and freezers
