Overview

If you’d be excited to work in a professional kitchen preparing and cooking meals, consider applying for the position of Deli Clerk. As one of the fastest growing natural foods retailers, we’re seeking team members who are excited to share their passion for food.

Responsibilities

As a Deli Clerk, you will help customers make healthy food choices by preparing "fresh and easy meals" and providing excellent customer service in our Deli department. Your duties include arranging vegetables or sliced meats for sandwiches, assisting with catering orders, and maintaining food safety standards. There are ample opportunities for growth and learning about products, equipment, and customer service. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, or an acceptable combination of education and experience in grocery, restaurant, or related fields.
• Dependable and reliable
• Outgoing, friendly, positive attitude, and able to interact well with customers
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders
• Lift/carry up to 70 lbs. for up to 4 hours
• Stand for up to 4 hours continuously per shift
• Perform cleaning and sanitation of work areas
• Operate slicers and cooking equipment safely
• Adhere to safety, health, and regulations; maintain Food Handlers permit
• Work in coolers and freezers
• Other duties as assigned

Pay Range

The pay range is $16.70 - $22.55/hour, based on experience and qualifications.
