Overview

If you’d be excited to work in a professional kitchen preparing and cooking meals, consider applying for the position of Deli Clerk. As one of the fastest growing natural foods retailers, we’re seeking team members who are excited to share their passion for food.

Responsibilities

As a Deli Clerk, you will help customers make healthy food choices by preparing "fresh and easy meals" and providing high-level customer service. Your tasks include arranging vegetables or sliced meats for made-to-order sandwiches, assisting with catering orders, and maintaining food safety standards. Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, or an acceptable combination of education and experience in grocery, restaurant, or related fields.
• Dependable and reliable
• Outgoing, friendly, with a positive attitude and good customer interaction skills
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders
• Lift/carry up to 70 lbs. for distances up to 20 feet, for up to 4 hours
• Stand for up to 4 hours continuously, total of 8 hours per shift
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitation
• Operate slicers, wrapping, and cooking equipment safely
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations; obtain a Food Handlers permit
• Work in temperature-controlled environments such as coolers and freezers
• Other duties as assigned

Pay Range

$17.45 - $23.55/hour, based on experience and qualifications.
