Rosauers Supermarkets, Inc. seeks a Category Director to lead the deli category, driving strategy, assortment, pricing and promotions to maximize sales and profitability. You will analyze market trends, manage a P&L, and collaborate with Marketing, Operations and Finance to deliver growth.

The role requires strategic thinking, hands-on leadership, and a passion for deli operations in a fast-paced retail environment. Travel to store locations and vendor meetings is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in retail category management or merchandising.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and drive decisions.
• Leadership experience to mentor managers and drive growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business goals.
• Lead product selection, pricing, inventory, and promotions.
• Build vendor relationships and negotiate terms for profitability.
• Analyze market trends and adjust plans accordingly.
• Manage the category P&L, budgets, and forecasts.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Operations and Finance to execute plans.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing team.
