Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a store leadership professional to plan, direct, and supervise day-to-day operations across departments. You will mentor staff, improve customer service, and drive sales while maintaining store standards and appearance.

You will be responsible for staffing, promotions decisions, and ensuring safety. Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store such as meat, bakery, produce and deli; also customer service and product flow experience is helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly to team members and resolve conflicts.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and analyze financial information to inform decisions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Serve as mentor and coach for all team members.
• Implement strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales and ensure quick, efficient service.
• Maintain store appearance with focus on prime shopping hours, product presentation and standards.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning and provide career development paths.
