Job summary

Meijer in Michigan is seeking a store leadership professional to plan, direct and supervise day-to-day operations across multiple departments. You will mentor and coach team members, drive customer service improvements and sales while upholding Meijer standards.

You will manage staffing, training and performance, promote a safe work environment, and engage with customers and staff to deliver fast, friendly service during peak hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years retail experience.
• One year of management experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and supervises team members in day-to-day store operations across departments.
• Mentors and coaches team members; implements strategies to improve customer service and drive store sales.
• Maintains store appearance, product presentation and adherence to company standards.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs; training and development of team members.
• Ensures safe work environment and handles disciplinary actions as needed.
• Spends majority of time within the store communicating with customers and team members to ensure exceptional service.
