Job summary

Fresh Thyme Market is seeking a Coordinator to lead daily department operations, schedule staff, and ensure optimal customer service. You will manage ordering, receiving, stocking, and display of products to maximize profits while maintaining food safety standards.

The role requires 1 year of management experience, 2–3 years in retail, and a high school diploma or equivalent; Serv Safe certification is a plus. We offer growth opportunities within a fast-paced, expanding Midwest grocer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Previous experience in a natural foods industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in scheduling and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning and development paths.
• Support disciplinary actions and recommend discharges.
• Attain P&L budgeted goals, achieving sales, labor and margin plans for the department.
• Review sales goals, supply costs, stock loss/shrink results and goals.
• Model exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Reviews Customer Survey and feedback from previous day or week.
• Prepares, packages, stocks store and display merchandise appropriately.
• Ensure the backroom is neat and organized.
• Meet or exceed sales floor conditions expectations in respective department.
• Ensures staff are trained and safe workplace maintained.
