Job summary

Military Deli & Bakery Services is seeking an Assistant Manager/Shift Lead to support the Deli/Bakery department at a U.S. Military Commissary location. You will help lead 5–10 staff, ensure top customer service, and uphold food safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include scheduling, training, inventory tracking, and assisting in daily profit calculations while maintaining a safe, clean store. Willingness to work weekends and closing shifts is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years grocery or 2+ years food service experience.
• Previous shift lead/management experience mandatory.
• Able to stand and walk for an entire shift; lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist Deli/Bakery Manager in directing and managing 5–10 employees.
• Maintain high levels of customer service while meeting commissary requirements and maximizing profits.
• Oversee and enforce Food Safety and Sanitation policies and procedures.
