Job summary

Military Deli & Bakery Services is seeking an Assistant Manager/Shift Lead to support the Deli/Bakery department at one of our US military commissaries. You will lead a small team, ensure top‑notch customer service, and uphold food safety standards while helping meet store goals.

Open to applicants; requires 2+ years grocery/food service, shift leadership, ability to lift 50 lbs, and weekend availability; strong growth opportunities across MDBS locations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years grocery or 2+ years food service experience.
• Previous shift lead/management experience mandatory.
• Ability to stand and walk for whole shift, lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist Deli/Bakery Manager in leading department and directing 5–10 employees.
• Maintain high levels of customer service while meeting commissary requirements and profits.
• Enforce Food Safety and Sanitation policies and procedures.
