Military Deli & Bakery Services is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Deli/Bakery Manager and lead a team of 5-10 associates at one of our commissary locations. You will drive customer service excellence, enforce safety standards, and help manage inventories while supporting scheduling and training.

Qualifications

2+ years grocery or 2+ years food service experience.
Previous shift lead/management experience mandatory.
Valid Food Safety Management Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days from hire date.

Responsibilities

Assist Deli/Bakery Manager in leading the department and managing 5-10 employees.
Maintain high levels of customer service while meeting commissary requirements and profitability.
Oversee food safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
Help manage inventories by tracking weekly reports and ordering raw materials and supplies.
Assist in scheduling, training employees and delegating work assignments.
