Job summary

Military Deli & Bakery Services is hiring an Assistant Manager/Shift Lead to support the Deli/Bakery Manager in leading a team of 5–10 associates. You will ensure outstanding customer service, enforce food safety standards, and assist in scheduling, training, and inventory management at one of our commissary locations.

The role requires 2+ years in grocery or food service and prior management experience, with open availability for weekends and closing shifts.

Qualifications

• 2+ years grocery or 2+ years food service experience required.
• Previous shift lead/management experience mandatory.
• Valid Food Safety Management Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist Deli/Bakery Manager in leading the department and directing 5–10 employees.
• Oversee customer service levels and compliance with Food Safety policies.
• Help manage inventories, scheduling, and staff training.
