Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma preferred but not required.
• A valid Food Handler/Health Card for fresh departments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Friendly, helpful attitude with focus on customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work well within a team and follow directions.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Basic math and reading skills for recipes, pricing, labels, inventory.
• Stands for extended periods and can lift moderate weights.
• Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, helpful service while maintaining a professional demeanor and enhancing the customer experience (G.O.A.T).
• Handle customer concerns or complaints politely and professionally, escalate when necessary.
• Provide over-the-counter service by greeting customers and fulfilling requests.
• Prepare deli items such as sandwiches, salads, and hot case offerings following recipes.
• Slice, weigh, package, and label deli meats, cheeses, and prepared foods as requested.
• Stock and merchandise deli products to ensure freshness and appeal.
• Maintain a clean, organized, sanitary work area and follow safety standards.
• Operate deli equipment such as slicers, ovens, fryers, and scales safely.
• Assist with inventory control by recording waste, transfers, and markdowns.
