Job summary

Stater Bros. Markets is seeking a NOTC Clerk to deliver G.O.A.T. service to customers in the Service Deli and Bakery departments.

You will prepare and package deli items, maintain product quality and presentation, and ensure food safety standards are followed. Graveyard shifts involve stocking, displays, and store readiness to meet daily demand. The role emphasizes friendly, knowledgeable service, multi-department support, and teamwork within Retail Operations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma preferred but not required.
• Food Handler / Health Card required for fresh departments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Friendly, helpful attitude focused on customer satisfaction.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, helpful service while maintaining a professional demeanor and enhancing the customer’s shopping experience (G.O.A.T).
• Handle customer concerns politely and professionally, escalating to management when necessary.
• Prepare deli items such as sandwiches, salads, and hot case offerings using established recipes.
• Slice, weigh, package, and label deli meats, cheeses, and prepared foods.
• Stock and merchandise deli products to ensure freshness and appeal.
• Maintain clean and sanitary work areas and follow safety procedures.
• Assist with bakery items, cakes, cupcakes, and other baked goods as needed.
• Stock shelves, manage displays, rotate inventory, and assist with store readiness.
