Job summary

Military Deli & Bakery Services is seeking a part-time Deli Bakery Associate to serve military personnel and families at a US Commissary location. You will slice meats, prepare trays and sandwiches, stock displays, and maintain sanitation in a fast-paced setting.

Cross-training in bakery tasks is encouraged; weekend shifts may be required. Strong communication and basic math skills, along with a team-oriented attitude, are valued. Growth opportunities exist within our nationwide network.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Willing to cross-train in bakery and deli tasks.
• Effective and friendly communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math and the ability to follow written guidelines.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Ability to stand and walk short distances for an entire shift.
• Team player.
• Grocery, food service or retail experience a plus.
• Some weekend shifts are required.

Responsibilities

• Slices deli meats and cheeses to customer’s request.
• Prepares custom party trays and makes sandwiches accordingly.
• Stocks and organizes displays, and helps with shipments as needed.
• Ensures proper sanitation and proper food handling/preparation.
• Works in a fast-paced environment and handles stressful situations.
• Other duties may include cake decorating, baking, rotisserie chicken preparation, or other deli/bakery tasks.
