Job summary

Military Deli & Bakery Services is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate for part-time, serving our nation’s Military personnel and their families at a US Military Commissary location. Responsibilities include slicing meats, preparing trays, stocking displays, and maintaining sanitation while delivering friendly customer service.

The role emphasizes teamwork, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and willingness to cross-train in bakery tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Willing to cross-train in bakery and deli tasks as needed.
• Effective and friendly communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math and ability to follow written guidelines.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Ability to stand and walk for entire shift; tolerate freezers for short periods.
• Weekend shifts may be required.

Responsibilities

• Slice deli meats and cheeses per customer request.
• Prepare custom party trays and sandwiches.
• Stock and organize displays and assist with shipments.
• Ensure proper sanitation and food handling in the department.
• Work in a fast-paced environment and manage stress effectively.
• Other deli/bakery tasks such as cake decorating or rotisserie prep as needed.
