Job summary

Food Lion in Oak Ridge, NC is seeking a capable Deli/Bakery HMS Department leader to support the deli operations, supervise staff in the absence of the deli manager, and help achieve budgeted sales and labor goals.

You will model strong customer service, maintain product quality and safety standards, train associates, manage scheduling, and ensure compliance with all policies, safety and food safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred.
• Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.
• Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Accredited by NR Food Safety Professionals or able to obtain accreditation within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Deli Bakery HMS Department in the absence of the Deli Manager.
• Daily management of labor and coaching of associates to meet productivity expectations.
• Provide leadership and motivate store culture aligned with Brand Strategy.
• Support the achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Maintain department appearance, safety, sanitation, and product quality.
• Ensure scheduling, ordering, and inventory controls are properly executed.
