Job summary

Kj’s Market is seeking a deli/bakery supervisor to lead guest service and operations in a fast-paced environment. You will ensure polite service, manage inventory, and drive sales while upholding quality and safety standards.

This role requires strong communication, team leadership, and the ability to train and supervise staff, with a focus on meeting budgets and maintaining product excellence.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and guest-service skills for selling and service.

• Knowledge of deli operations and supervision basics.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from deli/bakery staff.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the deli/bakery dept.
• Maintain inventory and supplies to meet demand.
• Operate department per merchandising and operational guidelines.
• Ensure product quality meets Floco Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety per Floco Foods standards.
• Provide guidance and training to deli staff for performance.
• Handle product preparation, receiving, ordering and stocking as needed.
• Maintain labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Perform duties assigned by management and PA announcements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the deli/bakery department staff.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the deli/bakery department.
• Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Floco Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Floco Foods standards.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure deli department employees achieve satisfactory performance standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Maintain department’s labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
• Performs PA announcements.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Store Manager and Merchandiser.
