Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques.
• Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.
• Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job function.
• Accredited as a Food Safety Manager or willing to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Deli Manager in daily duties and supervise HMS Associates in the Deli Bakery HMS area.
• Manage labor and coaching to meet productivity expectations.
• Provide leadership to promote Food Lion's culture and brand strategy.
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Ensure excellent customer service and positive shopping experience.
• Observe safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards; control expenses via ordering and inventory.
• Ensure department schedules, ordering, receiving, and appearance meet policy guidelines.
