Job summary

Responsibilities

• Engage customers and peers to deliver an exceptional checkout experience.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily work tasks.
• Mentor and coach other team members to exceed customer service and sales goals.
• Support training of new team members and cross-train high-potential talent.
• Assist with department scheduling to improve engagement, service, and store profitability.
• Monitor product rotation and dating to ensure freshness and compliance with policies.
• Lead team members in ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and display where applicable.
• Create an environment that supports Meijer culture, including diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Operate a register and cash handling when needed.
• Operate powered equipment where applicable.
• Participate in period end inventories as required.
