Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Engage peers to provide the best possible shopping experience for customers and an exceptional checkout experience.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily tasks.
• Mentor and coach team members to exceed customer service and sales goals and ensure policies.
• Support training of new team members and cross-training of high-potential talent.
• Assist with department scheduling to improve engagement, service, and store profitability.
• Ensure product freshness by monitoring rotation and dating policies.
• Guide team on food safety standards and safe operations.
• Lead ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and product displays where applicable.
• Foster an inclusive Meijer culture valuing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Operate a register and cash handling as needed; use powered equipment where applicable.
• Participate in period-end inventories to help meet goals.
• May act in Lead capacity in other departments when required.
• Other duties as assigned.
