Job summary

Jerry’s Enterprises at Cub Foods Woodbury is seeking a part-time deli associate to help prepare meats and cheeses, stock cases, and keep the department clean and safe. You’ll interact with customers, handle heavy lifting up to 50 lbs, and work a varied weekly schedule in a friendly team environment.

The role offers a progressive pay scale up to $17.25/hour based on experience, with a potential $3.00/hour premium for open availability and a store discount. Prior food safety training is a plus.

Qualifications

• Prepare deli products including a variety of meats and cheeses.
• Be able to handle pork if required.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary department and assist customers.

Reports to: Deli Manager

Classification: Part Time Union

Rate of Pay: Progressive scale up to $17.25/ hour, based on experience

Hours: Sunday – Saturday, varied hours

Position functions and job responsibilities may vary by store location.

FREQUENT:

Physical

• lifting/carrying to 50 lbs., pushing/pulling 500 to 1500 pounds
• walking, reaching, standing, stooping/bending, squatting

Equipment Operation:

• scanner, register, scale, check approval machine, coupon machine, and intercom
• pallet jack, highboy cart, box cutter, tongs, steamer, slicer, wrapper, knives, roaster, chicken fryer, chicken hot case, pizza oven, coffee pot, cleaning utensils

Mental:

• judgment/decision making, social skills/verbal interaction, memorization, reading, writing, math

Environmental:

• exposure to hot and cold temperatures, hot equipment and cooking oil

OCCASIONAL:

Physical:

• lifting/carrying over 50 lbs., crawling

**FREQUENT: 15% of the work shift or at least ten repetitions per work shift.

**OCCASIONAL: Approximately less than 15% of the work shift or fewer than 10 repetitions per work shift
