Job summary

Jerry’s Foods Eden Prairie is seeking a part-time bakery associate to prepare donuts, cakes, and breads. You’ll fill, stock, and rotate displays, assist with receiving products, and maintain a clean, sanitary store. The role emphasizes customer service and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Hours are varied, including Sundays, with a progressive pay scale from $15.00 to $18.00 per hour based on experience. This position offers a store discount and flexible scheduling options.

Qualifications

• Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends.

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bakery products including donuts, cakes, and breads.
• Fill and rotate cases and displays; assist with merchandising.
• Receive products and help keep shelves stocked.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary store.
• Collaborate with the team to perform all department tasks.
• Be prompt and reliable for scheduled shifts.

Classification: Part Time Union

Rate of Pay: Progressive scale from $15.00 to $18.00 / hour, based on experience

Hours: Sunday – Saturday, varied hours

Position functions and physical responsibilities may vary by store location

FREQUENT:

Physical

• lifting/carrying to 50 lbs., pushing/pulling over 50 force lbs.(unloading bakery ingredients and supplies)
• walking, reaching, standing, stooping/bending, squatting
• repetitive motion: turning, bending

Equipment Operation:

• scanner, scale, label machine, mixer, oven, donut fryer, donut glazer, pan washer, bread slicer, scraper, knives, box cutter, baker rack, pallet jack

Mental:

• judgment/decision making, social skills/verbal interaction, memorization, reading, writing, math, basic computer skills

Environmental:

• extended exposure to varied temperatures and wet surfaces, working with hot grease

OCCASIONAL:

Physical

• lifting/carrying over 50 lbs., equipment operation (calculator), climbing ladders, kneeling

FREQUENT: 15% of the work shift or at least ten repetitions per work shift

OCCASIONAL: Approximately less than 15% of the work shift or fewer than 10 repetitions per work shift
