Job summary

Jerry’s Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a friendly part-time bakery associate for our Edina store. You will prepare donuts, cakes, and breads, help stock shelves, and serve customers with a smile in a fast-paced environment.

This position offers a progressive hourly rate from $15.00 to $18.00, based on experience, with a flexible schedule and store perks such as discounts and support programs. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work varied hours including weekends, and be ready to join a team

Qualifications

• Friendly and outgoing with strong customer service for the team.
• Bakery experience preferred.
• Knowledge of pastries, breads, ovens, and good food.
• Attended Food Safety training.
• Motivated to grow their career and continue learning.

Responsibilities

• Make lasting connections with customers.
• Prepare bakery products including donuts, cakes, and breads.
• Fill and rotate cases and displays; may lift up to 50 lbs.
• Assist with receiving products and merchandising to keep shelves full.
• Help maintain a clean and sanitary store.
• Work with the team on all tasks to have an awesome department.
• Be punctual and work as scheduled.

Progressive scale from $15.00 - $18.00 / hour, based on experience

Hours:

Sunday – Saturday, varied hours

Position functions and physical responsibilities may vary by store location

Frequent Physical

• lifting/carrying to 50 lbs., pushing/pulling over 50 force lbs.(unloading bakery ingredients and supplies)
• walking, reaching, standing, stooping/bending, squatting
• repetitive motion: turning, bending

Equipment Operation

• scanner, scale, label machine, mixer, oven, donut fryer, donut glazer, pan washer, bread slicer, scraper, knives, box cutter, baker rack, pallet jack

Mental

• judgment/decision making, social skills/verbal interaction, memorization, reading, writing, math, basic computer skills

Environmental

• extended exposure to varied temperatures and wet surfaces, working with hot grease

Occasional Physical

• lifting/carrying over 50 lbs., equipment operation (calculator), climbing ladders, kneeling
• FREQUENT: 15% of the work shift or at least ten repetitions per work shift
• OCCASIONAL: Approximately less than 15% of the work shift or fewer than 10 repetitions per work shift
