Job summary

Catholic Charities of Baltimore, Caritas House, seeks a Delegating Nurse Manager to lead nursing services in residential programs. You will supervise direct care professionals, guide medical components of individual care plans, and ensure care meets nursing standards.

The role requires an RN with Delegating Nurse certification, 3+ years of nursing experience (including long-term care), and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• Current Delegating Nurse certification maintained per Maryland Board of Nursing requirements.
• Minimum of three years of professional nursing experience, including at least one year in long-term care or comparable clinical setting.
• Working knowledge of Medicare skilled‑level coverage criteria and care coordination.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing leadership for residential programs by guiding the medical components of individual care plans.
• Supervises the Part-Time Delegating Nurse with clinical direction and oversight.
• Oversees case management by assessing health needs and coordinating medical services.
• Develops and monitors nursing diagnoses, care plans, goals, and interventions.
• Delegates nursing functions and monitors medication administration and staff competency.
• Trains and advises direct care professionals on care plan requirements and procedures.
• Provides 24/7 on-call nursing coverage and escalates significant health changes to leadership.
