Job summary

McKinstry in Seattle is seeking a Social Impact Project Specialist – Opportunity & Belonging to join our Social Impact team. The role provides project, program, communications, and operational support for McKinstry’s diversity, equity, inclusion efforts, strengthening belonging across offices and communities.

You will work with employee resource groups, coordinate events, and help translate goals into practical content for employees, leaders, and partners, with a strong emphasis on accessibility

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in corporate social impact, DEI, employee engagement, community partnerships, project coordination, program management, or related work.
  • Post-secondary degree, credential, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Experience working with youth programs and diverse communities.
  • Team-player mindset with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage details, deadlines, communications, and multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for different audiences.
  • Ability to approach sensitive topics with discretion and cultural humility.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; Power BI and project management/survey tools desired.

Responsibilities

  • Provide program support for Social Impact initiatives, including ERGs, workforce belonging, and community partnerships.
  • Coordinate logistics for initiatives: schedules, materials, communications, registration, accessibility, and day-of execution.
  • Own pieces of project scope; track deliverables and follow-ups to meet timelines.
  • Contribute to welcoming, accessible program experiences aligned with employee and partner needs.
  • Attend and lead events, including after-hours and weekend activities as required.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
