Job summary

McKinstry is seeking a Social Impact Project Specialist – Opportunity & Belonging in Seattle, WA. You will support DEI initiatives, engage employee resources, partner with internal teams, and help create inclusive programs.

The role emphasizes project coordination, communications, event support, and data tracking. Travel nationally is expected; a minimum of 3–4 days in the Seattle office is required.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years in corporate social impact, DEI, employee engagement, partnerships, or related work.
  • Post‑secondary degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Experience working with youth programs and diverse communities.
  • Team-player mindset with ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with multiple priorities.
  • Clear written and verbal communication for different audiences.
  • Ability to handle sensitive topics with discretion and cultural humility.
  • Proficiency with MS Office; Power BI, survey tools or PM tools desired.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams, regions, identities, and stakeholder groups in a national organization.
  • Willingness to travel regionally and nationally.
  • Personal transportation for meetings, mileage reimbursed.
  • Minimum 3–4 days in an office required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide program support for Social Impact initiatives, including ERGs, belonging, and partnerships.
  • Coordinate logistics for initiatives: schedules, materials, communications, and day-of execution.
  • Own project pieces; track deliverables and ensure timely completion.
  • Create welcoming, accessible program experiences aligned with staff needs.
  • Attend and lead events, partner meetings, site visits, and office tours.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion.
