Augusta University seeks a DegreeWorks Curriculum Specialist to maintain and improve the DegreeWorks/JagTrax degree audit system on our Summerville Campus. You will handle documentation, testing, course substitutions, and curriculum proposals while collaborating with Academic Admissions and graduation teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 2 years of related experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders in writing and speech.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an Accredited College or University with 2 years' of related work experience.
  • The qualified candidate should have an aptitude for curriculum rules, attention to detail, and the ability to self-manage and prioritize work ongoing basis.
  • The ability to communicate with stakeholders in both verbal and written formats and to conduct themselves professionally at all times is required.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain DegreeWorks (JagTrax) user documentation, including standard operating procedures, websites, and training videos, FAQs, etc.
  • Provide technical support and general advice to DegreeWorks (JagTrax) users on a daily basis.
  • Conduct end of term processing as required.
  • Prioritize requests related to graduation working closely with the graduation team.
  • Assess, implement, and maintain Scribe and all related DegreeWorks (JagTrax) processes to ensure degree audits are accurate for all stakeholders.
  • Participate in the curriculum proposal process via Modern Campus Curriculum (Curriculog) to ensure approvals are implemented in Scribe in a timely manner.
  • Build test plans, conduct testing of DegreeWorks (JagTrax), and notify leadership of issues, suggesting corrections.
  • Evaluate and process course substitutions and student issue exceptions as received in Banner Workflow and ServiceNow, ensuring complete, timely, and exceptional communications with stakeholders.
  • Keep detailed notes in ServiceNow and closing tickets in an efficient manner.
  • Use all opportunities to continuously evaluate, improve, and foster ongoing knowledge, use, and adoption of the degree audit system across the campus community.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

This position performs DegreeWorks degree audit system maintenance using scribe and participates in associated testing/upgrades. Performs analysis and implementation of approved course substitutions, submissions of student degree audit issues including analysis and correction, and collaborating or referring items to other departments when needed for assistance, such as Academic Admissions. Ensuring JagTrax resource email is correctly coded and filed, responding to all inquiries with excellent customer service in a timely manner. Provides training to staff, faculty and students as required. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

The duties include, but are not limited to:

DEGREEWORKS/JAGTRAX DOCUMENTATION:

Create and maintain DegreeWorks (JagTrax) user documentation, including standard operating procedures, websites, and training videos, FAQs, etc.

TECHNICAL SUPPORT:

Provide technical support and general advice to DegreeWorks (JagTrax) users on a daily basis.

Conduct end of term processing as required.

Prioritize requests related to graduation working closely with the graduation team.

SCRIBE AND DEGREE AUDIT MAINTENANCE:

Assess, implement, and maintain Scribe and all related DegreeWorks (JagTrax) processes to ensure degree audits are accurate for all stakeholders.

This includes analysis of and critical thinking to determine the issue, develop the method for solution, and implementing solutions.

Solutions may include mapping curriculum pathways alongside the catalog and Banner, reviewing curriculum proposals and finally implementing exceptions, course subs.

CURRICULUM PROPOSAL PROCESSING:

Participate in the curriculum proposal process via Modern Campus Curriculum (Curriculog) to ensure approvals are implemented in Scribe in a timely manner.

Includes communications with proposal originators where appropriate and making suggestions where needed to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

TESTING AND QUALITY ASSURANCE:

Build test plans, conduct testing of DegreeWorks (JagTrax), and notify leadership of issues, suggesting corrections.

COURSE SUBSTITUTIONS AND STUDENT EXCEPTIONS:

Evaluate and process course substitutions and student issue exceptions as received in Banner Workflow and ServiceNow, ensuring complete, timely, and exceptional communications with stakeholders.

Keep detailed notes in ServiceNow and closing tickets in an efficient manner.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT:

Use all opportunities to continuously evaluate, improve, and foster ongoing knowledge, use, and adoption of the degree audit system across the campus community.

OTHER DUTIES:

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree from an Accredited College or University with 2 years' of related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

The qualified candidate should have an aptitude for curriculum rules, attention to detail, and the ability to self-manage and prioritize work ongoing basis. The ability to communicate with stakeholders in both verbal and written formats and to conduct themselves professionally at all times is required. The ability to multitask and handle large volumes of requests, while adhering to curriculum rules and understanding the integrated relationships of databases to their work is key.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge of the principles, policies and techniques of educational administration; thorough knowledge of University policies and procedures related to AU; thorough knowledge of USG rules and regulations. Strong problem solving skills; ability to plan and coordinate work independently; ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Knowledge of integrated information systems.

Shift/Salary/Benefits

Shift: Days; M-F (Work outside of normal business hours may be required)

Pay Band: B11

Salary: $56,600.00/Annually-$60,007.00/Annually

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
