Job summary

Sabre Systems, LLC in Patuxent River, MD, seeks a Journeyman Engineer to support PMA-265 for the F/A-18 and EA-18G programs. This on-site role involves cradle-to-grave life-cycle support, system integration, and rigorous documentation across multi-disciplinary teams.

The position requires a Technical BS in engineering, 5+ years in DoD-related work, and a Top-Secret clearance. Will travel six times per year; U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• At least five years in an engineering role, three of which are in DoD systems.
• Experience delivering results in multi-level security projects.
• Direct experience in defense, aerospace, or government programmatic settings.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills for working with engineers, logisticians, and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Must be able to work as part of an integrated team.
• Must have strong communication skills and some technical writing abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Top-Secret clearance required; SCI/SAP eligible preferred.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military weapons systems.
• Review and prepare engineering analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
• Apply systems engineering to system integration, configuration management, QA testing, or acquisition and resource management.
• Analyze, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate software, components, or systems related to military weapons systems or management information systems.
